DIRTY ATHLETE

Colorado host some of the best 50 miler ultra marathons, Leadville, San Juan solstice and the steamboat run rabbit run. If you missed out on the first two Colorado ultras this year you may want to check out steamboat which takes place on Sept. 13 2008.

The Muddy Buddy series is the ultimate dirty run/bike race! This series has been around and has blown up now.

People consider this the ultimate fun mud run, you can dress up in funky costumes and race in a team format.

At the very least you will be covered from head to toe in MUD!

One of the toughest oldest races out there. 50 miles out and back in the midst of the Rockies Mountains. 12, 600ft will be your highest point and your lowest at 9,200, so lets hope you have done a lot of altitude training before attempting this race.Where-Leadville Colorado

If you look for a well sponsored 50 miler race where you don’t have to worry about aid station frequency, North face puts on a solid event and the terrain is always a challenging blast. Race distance options 10K, Half Marathon, 50K, and 50 Miler.

The trail race series is going be running through some amazing terrain, deep forest, open trails, ocean views, hills and flats.  Depending on which location you choose you can get a landscape to suite or needs and running abilities.   There going be in beautiful states, such as New York, Washington, DC, Wisconsin and California.  The trail races are nice because you can enter different events, if your not ready for a 50 mile run, still get some scenic views on the 10k races.

San Diego Mud Run Kicks off April 13th 2008 12pm and there still time to register! You got plenty of obstacles, trail runs hill climbs and MUD in this race waist deep even. This race takes place in the  East County area.
