With summer coming to a close and winter creeping in, it is time to think about cross training and racing.  What is a better way than to participate in CYCLOCROSS; one of the best ways to stay active and competitive through the fall and and early winter.

What- Texas State Championship Adventure race #2 (2 hour off road race)

When- Saturday June 14th

Where- Austin Texas (Muleshoe Bend Park)

Why- Because you can drive your friends nutz by saying “Texas Y’all.” Show off by doing the race in cowboy boots!

Plus Austin is “keeping it weird” with all there tex mex restaurants and bars.

Also check out the whole foods in downtown Austin, it is very large.

You can eat all your meals, not to mention spend all day shopping in it.

What- Salomon Outdoor 15 hour adventure race/ unsupported race/orienteering, Mountain biking, canoeing, trekking, rope course.

Where- Pentwater, Michigan

When- Saturday July 26 2008

Why- You will get to trek through Michigan’s lower swamp lands, sandy rolling hills, Mountain bike some sweet single track, canoe 11 miles and of course test your skills with night navigation.

It also a chance to do a adventure that is a longer distance but not quite 24 hours.

WOW leave it to a town like Boulder, where they grow endurance athletes like the mid-west does corn, to host a race like this.

Boulder Extra mile Endurathon, is a race described as pure endurance and one of the toughest challenges the town has ever had, which is a bold statement itself.

WHAT-Walking race along Boulder Creek Path and Pearl Street for 4 Miles

LAST AS MANY HOURS AS THE CONTESTANTS CAN KEEP MOVING THEIR FEET.

With all the endurance athletes that linger around Boulder Co, this is liable to be one long race.

The last person to do a final solo mile will get 1000.00 cash.
